About us
Binaural Labs is the brainchild of record producer and sound wizard, Harvey Summers whose experience with ambient and new-age music styles led him into this, more scientifically oriented venture. His instrumental albums have earned him a wide audience, with some 2 million album sales, while his enduring fascination with the intriguing area where science meets spirituality has fuelled the philosophy behind Binaural Labs.
Put simply, Harvey, while experimenting with out of body meditation techniques, was searching for effective, well produced brain entrainment recordings, but found a market saturated with sub standard, ill conceived and essentially useless products. Frustrated, he decided to develop his own recordings, drawing on his knowledge of sound production, ambient music, spirituality and science. Following a series of experiments, he developed our first Binaural Labs collection. A series of meticulously crafted, tried and tested soundscapes, designed to achieve the states of consciousness associated with Beta, Alpha, Theta and Delta brainwave patterns.
Binaural Labs is the result of these experiments and our small team of personnel including Harvey and colleague, James Hebron are dedicated to the continuing research and development of high-quality, effective and beautiful sonic landscapes, inspired by spirituality and science.
We recommend listening to these recordings using headphones for the most effective results, though well-spaced loudspeakers can work too. It is important to listen at the correct volume, which is the quietest level at which you can comfortably hear all of the elements in the recording. Listening too loudly or too quietly will yield diminished results and may not be so pleasant!
We would urge you to avoid operating heavy machinery or driving while listening to these recordings and ask you to always listen in a safe, relaxing environment. Binaural Labs make no claim to diagnose or treat any medical conditions. If you have health concerns, always consult your doctor.
If you have any suggestions or ideas for future recordings, please let us know!
